Now that quite a few beekeepers are starting to switch to small cell bee system, it is very important to guide them well. In order to do that, however, the one who is being consulted must have as much relevant data as possible for the individual hives. Especially from the beginning on in order to be able to understand the development of problems when they emerge.

For this we need a kind of hive notes, but above all the especially important data listed in relation to small cell bees. Personally, I record everything in a laptop, a Toughbook, that is always with me at the bee yards. In addition we have an optimal software, an Excel program (thanks to Felix), which was specially programmed for our needs.

Now how do we do that if the one who wants to give help is far away?
The idea of an online hive record was born, which can be reached from anywhere via internet. And in our work group, there is a special practitioner area where online help can be given. It’s been going on for a few years now and works great.
Without this tool it is practically impossible to make correct diagnoses and to react correctly in problem cases.
